Karl-Heinz Mauermann
- Please Hold The Line
Small robots with absurd-looking superstructures drive around a course. They follow a line. Cymbals and sound tubes are struck by a machine. The sounds are modified. The modified sounds control a video collage: live images of the robots, historical test drives of automobiles, guided missiles under attack, computer-controlled rockets. “Please hold the line!” Reality meets virtual worlds. Interpenetration of digital information and analog fictions.
