Pulsating, imploding, exploding… and we feel safe in the solar particle storm. “Sternenstaub” is a live-electronic solo piece for multi-channel systems, inspired by Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time.” The composition utilizes sine waves and noise to create six modules representing cosmic events. From pulsation to granular synthesis, the composer generates sonic events corresponding to the processes of the universe. The chronological sequence ranges from Module 1 to 6, with modules being variably applied. The listeners can sit among the rings and experience different listening positions.
