“Wavering” is a water and light installation created by the studio Lachlan Turczan, generating a real-time visualization of sound using water and light. The piece reflects an elliptical laser beam onto a shallow, reflective basin. The reflection is cast onto a specially made translucent fabric visible from both sides. Initially, the audience sees only the projected image and then discovers how the image is created when moving to the other side and seeing the reflective basin. The audience is thus invited to generate their own light waves by disturbing the water in the basin.
