Roland Nagy aka Fausto Mercier plays with audio and video simultaneously in his audiovisual sets. In his performances, virtual instruments are triggered and manipulated in real time using sounds that Nagy has recorded with the help of various household objects and instruments.
Bio
Sound engineer Roland Nagy originally studied media art. With his project Fausto Mercier, founded in 2016, he has released on labels as diverse as Genot Centre, EXILES, Infinite Machine, Pointless Geometry and Kaer Uiks.
His electronic music productions, characterised by digital hardcore culture and bouncing rhythmic heaviness, are closely linked to his fascination for natural soundscapes. With Fausto Mercier, Roland Nagy presents a violent, tension-filled world woven into a web of seemingly chaotic textures.
