Old and new, acoustic and electrical, analog and digital, odd and even, danceable and for the wing chair, high-gloss LoFi. According to this credo, the two sound researchers Tarek Zarroug and Henning Pszczola operate under the band name BELLCHILD. Freed from all genre limitations and with the urge to create new things and to put the familiar in a new context, their music moves between driving electro-acoustic rhythms, dreamy singing and synthetically generated soundscapes.

Framed in field recordings that make their home, the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, audible and thus tangible, they understand their work as a never-ending search, knowing full well that the only constant is change.

After an extensive club tour through Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, the release of the first EP “EP”, after numerous festivals such as the Sharpfestival (SVK) and Fira B! (ESP) and the award by the INES jury as one of the most promising acts of 2019, the duo did not find themselves in the home office entirely voluntarily. The result? The start of the Youtube series “Sessions from the Shed” and the production of the first album.
Needless to say, both of them are dying to get back into the analog world as quickly as possible.
