In line with their previous work, Karabasan Drane’s contribution to Blaues Rauschen 2022 is grounded in an exploratory wandering through a distinct sonic world of shady dream logic. Drawing from the duo’s shared creative backgrounds they often utilize their own layered and manipulated field recordings together with synthesizers and lo-fi sound sources as well as high-end digital production methods to form a hypnotic vision based in repetition and subdued tonality. The result is a foray into a dreamlike soundspace where creeping minimalism and heavy electronics are interwoven to stir up an isolationist shift in perception.
