Anthropomorphism is the tendency to ascribe human appearance, abilities and destinies to imaginary figures, animals and things – the attribution of intellectual and moral-human qualities to a deity.
In chemistry and crystallography, anamorphism refers to a substance or property that lacks an ordered form.

The concept behind ANTROPO-AMORFO is an A/V project that moves between abstraction and real suggestions. It seeks a fusion of abstract and concrete forms through the extreme manipulation of data and signals to seek a point of contact between the ephemeral and tangible worlds.

Corgiat, aka Giovanni Mecio, on audio device with Ableton Live, controller and analogue gear communicates with Riccardo Franco-Loiri aka Akasha’s Touchdesigner instances through MAX/MSP patches and OSC in real time, creating an endless A/V flow that hypnotises the audience, challenging transformation processes between analogue and digital while raising new existential questions about the human condition.
Imaginary landscapes with movements of material and affective forces evoke amorphous states between liquid and solid. An immersion in near-natural states in which we surrender to audio waves while light floats in the air.
