aua&angst/ Tubi Malcharzik (they/them) lives and works as a DJ, curator and performance artist in Hannover and Vienna. Based on autobiographical experiences, Tubi deals artistically with queer forms of memory, Upper Silesian misunderstandings and postmigrant perspectives – in solo performances (‘COMEBACK’, ‘PASKUDNIK’) as well in the form of collective works (‘Funken bis Uranus’, ‘Sprachnachrichten übers Schlonsken’). Their works have been shown and invited at Schwankhalle Bremen, Theater im Pavillon (Hannover), Hebbel am Ufer (Berlin), Multitude-Festival (Hannover) and Körber Studio Junge Regie (Hamburg).

Besides artistic work, Tubi is at home on and off the dance floor. From 2017 to 2018 they managed the Eve Bar located below the Schauspielhaus Bochum and curated the club and discourse program #placetobetween. In 2019 together with friends they founded the DJ and club collective ‘soft spot’, which creates spaces for experimental, electronic sounds in Hannover and searches for queer-feminist politics on and off the dancefloor. Besides the local work, the group focuses on exchange with other queer-feminist collectives, most recently with Chilldo 池糖 (Chengdu) and Lokalni Poznańscy Voguerzy (Poznań). As aua&angst, Tubi has played at Hyperreality Festival (Vienna), Fuchsbau Festival (Hannover), transmediale Festival (Berlin), HALLO:Radio (Hamburg) and Radio80k (Munich).
