Dear friends of “Blaues Rauschen”,

after its premiere in 2017 and the successful edition in 2018, the city of Bochum is once again offering an extraordinary platform for the “Blaues Rauschen” festival in triad with the cities of Dortmund and Essen at exciting locations for art production and presentation.

In Bochum on September 25th in the Rotunde and on September 29th in the atelier automatique, new formats will be developed and presented at the interfaces of music, media art, dance and performance using digital as well as analog and hybrid techniques. It seems to me that it is particularly profitable that within the framework of participation formats, nationally and internationally invited artists meet the local scene and thus a mutual exchange and transfer of know-how is made possible.

On a total of six evenings, the festival program invites visitors to a multimedia sound journey with an extraordinary experience and insight value with contemporary electronic music, sound and video collages and futuristic electronic dance music.

I am very happy that Bochum is back as one of the host cities and I wish the multi-city festival “BlauesRauschen” and its top-class program a lot of success and a positive response.
