Dear friends of the digital arts,

It is a great pleasure for me that Mülheim an der Ruhr is taking part in the BLAUES RAUSCHEN Festival for a second time.

The festival has always stood for artistic innovation, interdisciplinary exchange and the creative use of digital technologies. The voice and the body become sensually perceptible as sound spaces and enter into an exciting dialogue with new technology and electronic processes. These interdisciplinary approaches open up unfamiliar perspectives and invite us to rethink our own perceived reality.

The Makroscope in Mülheim an der Ruhr is exactly the right place for this. As an open experimental space for contemporary art and digital culture, the Makroscope offers ideal conditions for developing and presenting new forms of artistic expression. Here, the Ruhr region is once again revealed as a vibrant cultural landscape that combines tradition and future in an inspiring way.

My heartfelt thanks go to all the artists and the dedicated organisers whose commitment makes this special festival possible.
