Lisa L. Zwinscher x Neasa Ní Bhriain

Where does one’s own self end? And at what stage did AI long since cease to be merely a digital assistant and become a serious competitor for identity? Such omnipresent doubts also preoccupy Lisa L. Zwinzscher and Neasa Ní Bhriain. With ‘Introducing Pony~’, a performance for voice, violin and digital violin, the two explore identity, authorship and loss in the age of AI by cloning their own instruments – and entrusting them to each other. Zwinzscher’s alter ego Pony Pracht questions the ownership of the voice when it becomes technically reproducible, while Ní Bhriain’s viola begins to sing with a foreign voice. Between body and algorithm, a hybrid sound space emerges in which control, intimacy and humour are constantly in play.

Lisa L. Zwinzscher from Leipzig is a freelance singer, speaker and multimedia artist who uses her voice as a tool that traverses body, code and sound. Equally versatile across genres and formats, she works with ensembles, collectives and her own label Schatulle Bömm. In her solo project Pony Pracht, she combines voice, technology and performative self-questioning.

Neasa Ní Bhriain is an internationally active Irish violist and composer. She commutes between Dublin, Leipzig and Dresden, where she is a professor of viola and co-founder of the FOKUS Forum. Her work combines musical clarity with interdisciplinary, socially conscious thinking, in serious dialogues, open to friction.
