The aim of the non-profit association open systems – founded 2002 by Karl-Heinz Blomann – is the promotion, dissemination and scientific research of contemporary music and art. This is done in particular by organizing and conducting festivals, concert series and symposia on contemporary music and art, primarily through regional cross-city cooperation, but also on a national and international level. Among the most important projects are the festivals “open systems” from 2002 to 2010 and “Blaues Rauschen” from 2017.
