Yamila

Interwoven in a web of electronic sounds and acoustic instruments: The Argentinian artist Yamila, based in Milan, moves between the poles of analogue and digital sound worlds refusing to be confined by any genre boundaries. Her debut album Iras Fajro presented a sonic radicalism that nevertheless seeks its roots in traditional forms and transfers them into unpredictable dimensions − a field of negotiation and experimentation. With her second album Visions, Yamila has succeeded in creating an even more intimate, almost existentialist catharsis that takes the listener on a journey between physicality and transcendence.

She will continue this cathartic movement in her performance at the BLAUES RAUSCHEN festival 2025. Her music merges baroque harmonies, Spanish folklore, and digital noise, with the intersections between these disparate influences strikingly confrontational. Yamila’s voice, oscillating between fragile vulnerability and unleashed intensity, evokes images of lust and pain with almost biblical impact. Her songs are not merely sung narratives, but condensed spaces of experience in which pain and healing are inseparably intertwined.
