Dear audience,
dear visitors of the festival “Blaues Rauschen”,

counting the predecessor format Open Systems, the organizers of Blaues Rauschen can now look back on a history of more than 20 years – and fortunately there is no end in sight.

The fact that digital sound formats have a great wealth of variants is again demonstrated this year by the very diverse and ambitious program. The palette ranges from the newly developed Strega synthesizer and the use of artificial intelligence in sound compositions to a concert with electroacoustic waterbowls. In addition, as part of the festival, there will be for the first time an accompanying photo exhibition in combination with international sound art productions on the socially highly topical subject of recycling.

So let’s look forward to stimulating events and exciting digital sound experiments. I wish the organizers a smooth course of events and a numerous and interested audience in the sound areas between Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Bochum and Herne.
