Birds Of Paradise by Dutch producer Nadia Struiwigh personally combines many of the artist´s recent fields of interest. Presented live in Germany for the first time at BLAUES RAUSCHEN, the album shows us a topography of electronic music whose landmarks are electro, techno, ambient and jungle. Within this structure, it reflects how even the greatest possible contrasts in life are ultimately always interdependent − and rely on an almost imperceptible balance. Musical reminiscences can be found above all in the mid 90s − the field of electronic dance music was not yet as clearly defined as it often seems today.  

Nadia Struiwigh, born in 1989, now lives in Berlin, but originally comes from the Dutch harbour city of Rotterdam. Musically, both places stand for a raw, dark connection to technoid sounds. Nevertheless, her albums and EPs cannot be pinned down to one genre, but encompass ambient, electro and techno productions. In 2024, she founded the label Distorted Waves, which focuses on hardware-centred, more experimental works. In addition to her residency at Berlin’s Tresor club, where she primarily plays psychedelic, challenging techno, she is also active as a coach in the field of ‘healing sounds’ under the name IAMbient.
