A unique soundscape is deeply rooted in the traditions of experimental electronic music while incorporating the artistic visions of two performers: Ali Pourmotamedi and Laleh Hamzeh aka MahaVoice will blur the boundaries between analogue improvised music and digital sound alchemy at the BLAUES RAUSCHEN festival. We can expect a symbiosis between the oscillating sound waves of self-made synthesizers and the floating resonance of a sitar. In their music, the pulsating arpeggios of the Berlin School meet the hypnotic mantra of Krautrock − but without any nostalgic clinging to the past. In their performances, they drift together through densely interwoven layers of sound.  

Laleh Hamzeh not only brings the sitar to the project, but also a unique flair for the theatrical: Her experience in stage design, puppetry and performance art.  

Ali Pourmotamedi’s artistic interest was awakened early on by listening to Kraftwerk’s Mensch Maschine. He created his first tracks on Sony MSX and Commodore 64 PCs. He later studied electronic music, computer hardware and artificial intelligence, combining technical expertise with his sense of sound design. As the founder of Daris Instruments, Ali Pourmotamedi develops innovative synthesizers and MIDI systems with which he pushes the boundaries of electronic music technology.
