Pop: practiced, played, produced somewhere in the world in months of work. Now flying through the air like shavings. Blows at our ears from cars, cell phones, headphones. Composed, compressed, condensed. We don’t hear the beginning, not the end, not the high and low frequencies. Dopplered, errant, evaporated. – Every day our ears swallow the music leftovers that float inside us like crushed plastic bottles in the sea.
Antje Vowinckel sets out to collect he pop trash. The rhythms blown in the air are grounded on natural surfaces and reassembled.
