Cavid Dhen and Hannah Endrulat dedicate themselves to explore songs by other musicians from past centuries under the title Liedleid. Removing the pieces from their historical context enables a new examination, they become part of a mystical futurism. By processing the song material live, the duo ‘unsettles’ seemingly clearly defined units such as musical genre and time continuity. In their arrangements of vocals and wind instruments, they question the normal hierarchies within compositions and performances. In collaboration with human and superhuman partners, they will combine their own sound narratives with other people’s works during their performance at the BLAUES RAUSCHEN Festival.  

Hannah Endrulat is a Berlin-based pianist and singer, currently studying at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her interest in art song and opera is reflected in her live sets.  

Cavid Dhen, researcher and musician from Berlin, plays wind instruments (saxophone, clarinet and self-built instruments) together with experimental electronics, combining electro-acoustic processing and extended performance techniques with spontaneous melodic explorations.
