BLAUES RAUSCHEN 2025 – between innovation and reflection in electronic music and media art

Under the artistic direction of Karl-Heinz Blomann, the festival has been exploring the interfaces between “man and machine, reality and fiction, sound and silence” since 2017. It takes up current developments – from artificial intelligence and algorithmic composition to a return to analog sound worlds – and poses questions about authorship, artistic freedom and the limits of digital creativity. With its live format, BLAUES RAUSCHEN invites the audience to experience abstract art in a sensual way and to discuss aesthetic positions.

Opening minds through art

The festival continues to grow – new collaborations expand the network and create additional venues. The program selection reflects tensions between technological innovation and artistic reflection: performances explore the interplay between human creativity and AI, hybrid installations merge virtual and physical spaces, and live coding concerts turn software into an instrument. At the same time, improvised soundscapes, experimental instruments and interactive formats focus on anti-digital sensuality. The festival is complemented by two lecture talks and a workshop.

BLAUES RAUSCHEN remains a place of experimentation – a space for fusion, friction and reflection. A festival that encourages visitors to experience the digital transformation not just as consumers, but as co-creators. A place where art is not just an image, but a space of possibility.
